In honor of Father’s Day, we’ve talked to the doting dads of brides and grooms to hear the most memorable moment of their child’s wedding. It's a monumental occasion in not only your life but also the lives of those who love you most. For parents of the bride and groom, your wedding is especially significant and special, as it serves as a reminder of what’s to be, as well as all the love and happiness that has come before. Here’s what the dads had to say.
"There’s so many best memories! Seeing my daughter in the dressing room right before the ceremony and waiting to go up to the ceremony (a little weak-kneed there). Walking down the aisle and remembering the baby girl I held, which seemed like such a short time ago, and our daddy-daughter dance, where I wanted everyone to know what a lucky guy I was to have such a beautiful and charming daughter!" —Jack
"Even though it may seem silly, the cake cutting is a special memory. I loved watching my daughter and her new husband, my son-in-law, cut the cake—because as they were doing it, I was taken back to that moment at my own wedding to my wife. From our moment to theirs, it was a full-circle sort of thing, and it was really special." —Michael
"My son and daughter-in-law’s wedding was beautiful in so many ways. They looked great, the music was perfect, and the food was tasty and plentiful. But my favorite thing was the look on their faces that day. You could see that these are two people who are in love and are looking forward to a life together. You can’t fake that look. What we as parents want for our son and daughter-in-law more than anything else is happiness. What I saw that day on their faces was just that: happiness!" —Frank
"Walking down the aisle with my daughter was the moment I will never forget, ever." —Miguel
"I loved watching my son and daughter-in-law marry. Every moment of it was my favorite memory, really. I can tell you that at first, I was so nervous to give a speech, but that I’m glad I did because on the most special day of their lives, I was able to tell my ‘kids’ how proud of them I am, how much I love them, and how excited I am for them to head into the new chapter together." —David
"I honestly don’t have a favorite memory from the wedding. It was all just one incredibly beautiful day that was over in an instant. When I look back, it’s hard to pinpoint one specific memory, just an entire day of love and special times." —Don
