Partially Frosted Three-Tiered Naked Cake With Chocolate Pinecones

Partially frosted naked cakes are still super popular, and this three-tiered version is perfect if you're tying the knot in the wintertime. The bottom tier is covered in fondant designed to have the texture of wood grain. Then, to finish it off, cake designer Shannon Bond created chocolate pinecones and gum-paste pine needles and berries, all frosted in sanding sugar to look as though they were dusted with snow.
