Eliza Dushku said yes to Peter Palandjian, and now the two Bostonians are engaged! The actress, 36, is known for her roles in nineties staples, including Missy in Bring It On and Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while her fiancé, Palandjian, 53, is the CEO of Intercontinental Real Estate Corp and used to be a professional tennis player, People reports. This will be Eliza Dushku's first marriage; Palandjian has four children.
Dushku announced the engagement in an Instagram post on Thursday: "'YES!!' Absolutely, my love," she wrote, alongside a slew of emoji and hashtags. Amongst the emoji are the Armenian flag (Palandjian's father was Armenian, and he immigrated to the U.S. from Iran) and the Albanian flag (Dushku's father is Albanian), Refinery29 notes. The hashtags read "#BostonBorn #BostonBred #BostonSoonToBeWed," a reference to both Dushku and Palandjian's Bostonian roots and current city of residence. (Dushku was born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, while Palandjian was born in Boston and attended both Harvard University and Harvard Business School.) If the happy couple is thinking of planning a bachelorette party or a minimoon staycation in their hometown, we have a few ideas for them.
The two are clearly big fans of Beantown, but the photo Dushku Instagrammed proves they have quite the tropical flair. The beaming future bride and groom are both wearing island patterns in the photo, with Dushku sporting a fabulous flower-printed jumpsuit. And while the sunshine in their engagement announcement photo makes Dushku look absolutely radiant, it, unfortunately, obstructs any view of her new ring. Here's hoping the actress treats her fans to a jewelry close-up sometime soon. If there's one thing we love about celeb engagements, it's those gorgeous sparklers!
