Just because you can’t marry Prince Harry doesn’t mean you can’t live like royalty. Since the news of their engagement, we’ve found ways to copy everything from Meghan Markle’s stunning three-stone engagement ring to her perfectly shaped brows. And now you can even drink like royalty: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have allegedly picked their wedding wine and, surprisingly, it’s totally affordable.
Rumors are circulating that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen the Chapel Down as their winery of choice for their wedding reception. This would mean that Harry is taking a page out of older brother Prince William’s book, as it is the same winery he and Duchess Kate used for their wedding seven years ago. Prince William and Duchess Kate chose to serve the same English wine for their 2011 wedding as a way to show off "what Britain does best," according to the Daily Mail.
But fear not—you don’t need to be the queen of England to sip on the same wine as the royal family does. According to the Chapel Down website, you can snag a bottle of bubbly for around $31.20 or sip on a white Bacchus for only $16.89 (which is less than the cost of some cocktails in New York City!). While there are pricier options available, the winery provides enough affordable options so you can enjoy a glass yourself while you watch the royal wedding from the comfort of your couch.
Though Harry and Meghan have not revealed much about their upcoming royal wedding, we do know that the couple’s upcoming nuptials are set for May 19 and will take place at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle. It is also rumored that the bride-to-be has selected Inbal Dror as her dress designer.
In the meantime, we’ll just be sipping some royal wine, waiting for more details to arise.
